Step 1: Get 3 pieces at least 10ohm or higher 30ohm resistors (silver metal showing in the picture) and you can easily find them from local electronics store such as Radio Shack, Fry's, etc

Step 2: Take out the license light housing. Just put a flat screwdriver into the hole to the left of the plastic lens.....push to the right & pull the housing down. Then just pull off the plugs.

Step 3: Solder or mount 3 resistors to the housing in parallel. Since the two lights are running in parallel, it doesn't matter where to install the 3 resisters. (recommend 2 for left and 1 for right) For the cable length, 30cm is good enough.

Step 4: Install the modified light housing back to the trunk lid. and secure the 3 resister with nylon ties.

Final: Enjoy the LED license plate lights without OBC error.
